Daiichi adds last beam to premium, green office building

Daiichi Properties, one of the biggest office developers in the country, recently held the topping-off rites for The Finance Centre, a 42-story premium grade building in Bonifacio Global City.

This world class office building, highlighting modern, sustainable and environment friendly characteristics, is expected to open around the second quarter of 2018.

Daiichi aims to inspire creativity and collaboration within the confines of The Finance Center. The commercial property will feature an expansive 1,700-sqm plaza with water features, as well as a sky garden above its retail podium. The building will have open, column-free floor layouts that can give tenants the freedom to create their own optimal work environments based on the needs of their businesses.

According to The Philippine Daily Inquirer, Daiichi Properties retained the services of New York-based Thornton Tomasetti and Makati-based Sy^2 for structural engineering.

"Daiichi’s structural evaluation efforts include performance-based tests that cover not only seismic resilience, but also structural resilience to wind," the daily noted, "which is particularly critical to high-rise buildings in a country visited by no less than 20 typhoons a year."

The Finance Centre already won the Five-Star Best Office Development given by the Asia Pacific Property Awards in 2016.

The building is also LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) pre-certified Gold—one of the few buildings in the country to hold such distinction.
