South Luzon Thermal Energy Corp and DMCI sign EPC

South Luzon Thermal Energy Corp (SLTEC), the joint venture company of Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corp. and AC Energy Holdings Inc., signed an Engineering Procurement Contract with DM Consunji Inc. (DMCI) for the construction of the power plant’s expansion SLTEC 2 (135 MW coal-fired fluidized bed unit).

Construction of SLTEC 2 is expected to commence in 1H2013. Target start of operations is 2016. AC Energy approved an additional investment of P1.5 B in SLTEC to fund the expansion.
